Brisbane City council’s corporate logo
It is a cartoonish Brisbane City hall with a palm tree. Underneath the building is "Brisbane City".
In 1859 Brisbane was made a city with its own government (municipality).
On the 8th of April 1930 the city hall that is in the symbol was opened. Underneath it can have the slogan "Dedicated to a better Brisbane".
