The flag of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization has a dark blue (Pantone 280) field charged with a white compass rose emblem from which radiate four white lines. It was approved by the North Atlantic Council on October 14, 1953.

The following dimensions are used in the flag:

Length: 400 (units)

Width: 300

Star: 150

Diameter of the circle behind the star: 115

Amount of space between the star and the white line: 10

Amount of space between the edge of the flag to the white lines: 30
