Helsingin Jokerit (in English: Jokers or Jesters of Helsinki) -longtime competing franchise in the Finnish SM-liiga, (Finnish Elite League) better known as simply, Liiga - who won 6 league championships (1973, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1997, and 2002) are a storied hockey club with many notable Fins and NHL greats alike to have dressed in their lineup, such as Esa Tikkanen, Kari Lehtonen, Teemu Selanne, Tim Thomas, Glen Metropolit, and former team owner and General Manager Jari Kurri. From 2014 until February of 2022, Jokerit participated in the Russian-owned Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) until announcing its withdrawal from the league due in large part to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Jokerit will compete in 2023-2024 in Mestis, (from Finnish: Mestaruussarja, meaning 'Championship series') Finland's second-highest men's ice hockey league, with hopes to return to the top-tier, Liiga, one day in the future. The new owners (suspected to include Joel Harkimo), GM, and coach are yet to be named as Kurri stepped down following the team's departure from the KHL.

The team's colors are blue, red, white, and yellow.
