This is the logo of the German Democratic mass organization the Free German Youth. The FDJ was the official youth organization of the German Democratic Republic and males and females 14-25 belonged to it. The FDJ belonged to the National Front of the German Democratic Republic. The FDJ was created in 1946 and ended in 1990.
